This page lists the cookies and browser storage items our website and contractor app use. Analytics cookies are only set if you choose "Accept analytics". Everything else is needed for the site or app to work.
Needed for the site and app to work
cm_consent (browser local storage) — remembers your cookie choice. Kept until you clear your browser data; we ask again if this policy changes.
sb-…-auth-token (browser local storage, contractor app only) — keeps a contractor signed in. Removed when you sign out, and the app signs you out after 30 minutes without activity.
cm_last_activity and cm_signout (browser local storage, contractor app only) — used for automatic sign-out after inactivity and to sign you out in all open tabs at once.
sidebar:state (cookie, when a collapsible sidebar is used) — remembers whether the sidebar is open. Lasts 7 days.
cm_request_prefill (browser session storage) — carries your address from a Home Passport page to the service request form so it never appears in a web address. Removed once used, or when you close the tab.
Analytics (only after you accept)
Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics. Until you accept, we tell Google not to store analytics cookies, and advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization stay switched off even after you accept. Analytics is always off on contractor app pages and private link pages (estimates, Home Passports and request links).
_ga (cookie, Google Analytics) — distinguishes visitors. Lasts up to 2 years.
_ga_<ID> (cookie, Google Analytics) — keeps track of your visit session. Lasts up to 2 years.
How to change your choice
Use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page to accept or reject analytics at any time. If you reject after accepting, we remove the Google Analytics cookies we can reach. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings.
